Project Officer

Prajyot Waghmode holds a Master’s degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding, blending scientific expertise with field leadership. Serving as a Project Officer for the Wildlife Research and Conservation Society (WRCS), he drives the success of large-scale tree plantation and conservation projects. He directly manages site in-charges, supervisors, and labor teams to meet critical environmental targets.


Beyond field logistics, Prajyot excels in community development, fostering vital relationships with local populations and stakeholders to support ecological restoration. He ensures administrative precision by maintaining meticulous project documentation and progress reports.


With his background in plant genetics and breeding, Prajyot applies a strong scientific foundation to habitat restoration, species selection, and conservation initiatives. His role seamlessly bridges the gap between technical plant sciences and impactful, community-driven wildlife conservation.
