On 26th July 2025, the Wildlife Research and Conservation Society (WRCS) conducted an engaging awareness program at Zilla Parishad Primary School, Takrarwadi, Indapur, Pune. The session, titled "Introduction to Birds and Bird Watching," was designed to spark curiosity and build foundational knowledge about birds and their role in ecosystems. Around 100 students from classes five to seven enthusiastically participated in the session, learning about bird behaviour, habitats, and the basics of bird identification.
The session was led by Mr. Prithviraj Sarnobat as part of WRCS’s broader initiative to raise awareness about the ecological importance of the Ujani wetland. Through interactive discussions and visual aids, the program encouraged students to appreciate local biodiversity and become young ambassadors for bird conservation in their communities.
