Project Officer
Omsai Shinde is a Project Officer at the Wildlife Research and Conservation Society (WRCS), where he supports the planning, implementation, landscape restoration, tree plantation, and carbon project initiatives in the Koyananagar region of Maharashtra. He holds an MBA in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, and a Bachelor's degree in Forestry. His work focuses on plantation management, stakeholder engagement, and community-based conservation interventions. Omsai has experience in afforestation, natural resource management, and CSR-driven environmental projects, with a keen interest in nature-based solutions, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable rural livelihoods. He has also contributed to the implementation of a United Nations Development Programme–Small Grants Programme (UNDP-SGP) project in Meghalaya, focusing on community-led renewable energy adoption and sustainable development initiatives.
