Communication Officer
Nikita Dhurve is the Communication Officer at the Wildlife Research and Conservation Society (WRCS), where she leads the organisation’s digital communication, outreach, and branding initiatives. She manages all social media platforms and the official WRCS website, ensuring that the organisation’s conservation work is communicated with clarity, creativity, and impact. Along with communication management, she also oversees the WRCS handicraft inventory and contributes to marketing and promotional activities.
Nikita holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Zoology, with her dissertation work conducted at the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Pune. She also carries hands-on field experience through her On-Job Training (OJT) project, which strengthened her understanding of wildlife, ecology, and conservation practices.
With strong skills in photo and video editing, graphic design, and digital marketing, Nikita specialises in creating engaging content that highlights WRCS’s field initiatives, community programs, and conservation stories. She has a natural ability for content writing and visual storytelling, helping the organisation build meaningful connections with supporters, partners, and the wider conservation community.
Her additional strengths include strategic communication planning, social media analytics, branding, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Through her combined experience in zoology and communication, she brings both scientific understanding and compelling narrative skills to her role, contributing significantly to WRCS’s mission and outreach.
