Project Officer

Tanuj is a wildlife researcher and cricket enthusiast whose journey blends scientific curiosity with a love for exploration. While most children grew up on cartoons, he spent his early years watching wildlife documentaries, which sparked his lifelong fascination with the natural world. He holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Science from Amity University and a BSc in Zoology from Delhi University. At the State Forest Research Institute, Madhya Pradesh, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow on human–leopard interactions in urban landscapes. His work included leopard population studies, habitat modeling, prey ecology, and community perception surveys. He has also contributed to projects on striped hyenas, human–big cat interactions, and ecological assessments linked to development, with several research publications to his credit. Beyond research, he calls himself a “jack of all trades.” He enjoys meaningful films and shows, solo travel, trying new foods, and meeting people from different walks of life. Guided by the belief that learning never stops, he hopes to keep growing as both a researcher and a person, while working towards harmony between people and wildlife.
