Project Officer

Tanuj Joshi holds a Master’s degree in Forestry from DSB Campus, Nainital, Uttarakhand, with a strong background in wildlife conservation and ecological research. He has worked with WWF-India in the Terai Arc Landscape and Corbett Tiger Reserve, as well as with the Wildlife Conservation Trust in Corbett, contributing to projects focused on human–wildlife conflict, socio-economic assessments, and conservation awareness.


A wildlife enthusiast at heart, he has a particular interest in butterflies and birdwatching, which fuels his passion for biodiversity and ecological preservation. His work has involved extensive field surveys, data analysis, and reporting, with an emphasis on understanding conflict dynamics with species such as tigers, leopards, bears, and elephants. He values community engagement and believes that fostering awareness and coexistence between local people and wildlife is essential for sustainable conservation.
