Opportunity to Study the Forest Owlet and other Owls in Central India

Wildlife Research and Conservation Society (WRCS) is a Pune-based non-profit NGO engaged in research studies on wildlife and wildlife conservation projects (www.wrcsindia.org). Applications are invited for one position of Project Coordinator. The post is based at our Pune office. The work will involve considerable traveling to various project sites. We request the applicants to read the requirements mentioned below carefully while applying.


Scope of Work-
Project Co-ordinator will be mainly responsible for the following tasks:
a. Telephonic and email reviews of the ongoing projects by interacting with the field
personnel
b. Visits to the project sites for review of project activities
c. Carrying out official correspondence
d. Planning project activities with the team members
e. Preparing reports and presentations
f. Attending off-line and on-line meetings and workshops
g. Data analysis and preparation of manuscripts for publications
h. Writing grant proposals
i. Preparing outreach and awareness documents including social media posts
j. Overall project management

Qualification
Candidates with an M.Sc./ Ph.D degree in Wildlife Biology /Ecology and similar courses. Essential. We are looking for a young, dynamic person having minimum 3 years of work experience in the field or in the office. The applicant should be well-versed and knowledgeable about wildlife and ecology, principles and issues related to ecology, environment and wildlife conservation. Excellent skill in technical writing and statistical analysis required for preparing reports and scientific publications. Excellent Command over written and spoken English. The coordinator will be required to attend office daily while at the headquarter. The coordinator will need to make frequent visits to remote project sites by train, bus, and local transport. Some work will also require visiting forest areas at night.

Remuneration
